Harvest fundraising 2017

We had a really successful fundraising day on Wednesday, during our annual Harvest celebrations.

This year, we were raising money for a variety of causes; we collected produce to donate to Hope, a North East charity which supports local food banks and does work with the homeless. There were stalls up in the studio, where we were fundraising for a community defibrillator to be situated next to the school. The year 6 children also raised money in various ways (including Emily's sponsored haircut!) for a classmate who needs to travel to America for medical treatment.

Finley in year 6 came up with a plan to raise money by making his own bacon soup, and selling it to staff and pupils. He and Mr Vardy set up their own soup business from the school kitchen!

Parents were welcomed into the classrooms all around the school to take part in harvest activities with their children. Have a look through the gallery to get a taste of the sort of activities that were going on!
