I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of Ellington Primary School, where every child is valued, nurtured and encouraged to achieve their very best. We are a school where children come first, where relationships matter and where a genuine love of learning is fostered every day. Our aim is to create an environment in which children feel safe, happy and inspired to succeed.

At the heart of our success is our strong sense of community. We are fortunate to have wonderful pupils, dedicated staff, supportive governors and committed parents and carers who work together to ensure the very best outcomes for our children. These positive partnerships help create a school where everyone feels welcomed, respected and proud to belong.

I hope our website reflects what makes Ellington such a special place: confident and courteous children who are eager to learn; skilled and passionate staff who go above and beyond for their pupils; supportive governors who help shape our future; and families who play an active role in school life. Together, we create a learning environment where children are encouraged to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

We are extremely proud of the outcomes of our most recent Ofsted inspection in July 2024. Two comments in particular capture the essence of our school:

Our vision is summed up in our motto, "Believe and Achieve." We want every child to develop the confidence to believe in themselves, the resilience to overcome challenges and the ambition to pursue their dreams. We have high expectations for all our pupils and are committed to providing the opportunities, support and experiences that enable them to achieve their full potential.

Inclusion lies at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every child deserves to feel a true sense of belonging and to be celebrated for who they are. We are committed to ensuring that all children, regardless of their background, needs or starting points, receive the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to succeed. By working closely with families and specialist services, we strive to remove barriers to learning and ensure that every child can thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
